Overturned Truck Loose Axles and Needs Heavy Recovery
Mission Wreckers heavy recovery towing team thought they had seen it all when it came to heavy-duty towing. That is, until they got a call from a moving company who’s rented box truck had hit an obstruction and rolled over on I-35 in Schertz, Texas. Upon hearing that the truck’s axles were completely knocked out from underneath the trailer, the Mission Wrecker heavy recovery towing team was immediately dispatched along with their 50 ton wrecker and a Landoll. The heavy recovery towing team’s experience shone when they secured the trailer as it no longer had wheels to do so and carefully guided it as the Landoll winched it up. Moving day was cut short for the moving company when Mission Wrecker’s hauled their trailer to the impound lot for them. Outstanding job and showed that no problem is too big for them! Fantastic work!
Details of Heavy Recovery of Overturned Truck
A call came into the dispatch center for the heavy recovery towing team. A moving company’s rented box truck was driving on I-35 in Schertz, Texas. The box truck hit an obstruction on the road with enough force to knock the axles out from underneath the trailer and roll the trailer over. The heavy wrecker towing team was briefed on the situation. After assessing the call, they were dispatched to the scene of the accident along with their 50 ton wrecker and their Landoll.
The heavy wrecker team arrived at the scene of the incident. Once there, they reassessed the situation in order to work as safely and efficiently as possible. The heavy wrecker team’s first task at hand was to upright the box trailer and safely remove it from the cab. The heavy wrecker team maneuvered the 50 ton wrecker next to the trailer of the box truck. The heavy wrecker towing team then slowly uprighted the box truck by attaching it to the trailer of the box truck.
The heavy wrecker team then attached towing cables and towing trucks to the box truck trailer and began to slowly lift the box truck trailer. Foot by foot, the box truck trailer was carefully pivoted to the right. The heavy wrecker team used the 50 ton wrecker to slowly guide the box truck trailer to the Landoll. The heavy wrecker towing team first fastened the front half of the box truck to the Landoll before setting their sights on the back half of the box truck trailer. Once the back half of the box truck trailer was safely secured to the Landoll, the heavy wrecker towing team carefully drove the box truck to the impound lot.
