Construction Equipment Tow Firm Makes Muddy Rescue

Stuck in the mud: excavator needs construction equipment towing in Texas

This sinking excavator couldn’t have wished for a better rescue from any construction equipment towing company. Not even James Bond himself could’ve pulled this machine out of the mud in Center Point, Texas. It took a special force of 3 heavy wreckers and our amazing equipment construction towing team to get the job done. The excavator was nearly submerged when our team received the call.  The driver thought he could make it across the shallow pond but he got stuck in the mud instead.  What was supposed to be a smart shortcut turned out to be a muddy catastrophe.  Luckily, our expert construction equipment towing team got to the site straight away. The team arrived on a ranch road and a steep hill near State Highway 29. The team couldn’t get any closer to the excavator or they’d risk getting stuck in the mud, too. For the recovery, the construction equipment towing team used two of our 50-ton heavy wreckers attached to the front and the rear of the excavator. Another 35-ton wrecker supported the boom arm and together, they managed to winch the excavator out of the mud and back on the road. It took around 5 hours to complete this muddy rescue mission. We are very proud of our amazing towing team, never afraid to get dirty on the job. If there is a message to be remembered from all this, it would be ‘look before you leap no matter how big your toy is!’.

Details of construction equipment towing mission Texas

Our construction equipment towing team received a call to extract and recover an excavator from Central Point Texas. Our construction equipment towing team was told by our dispatcher to drive from our Converse location to Central Point Texas. There was an excavator that was stuck in the mud. We were told before we left that an excavator had tried to cross a muddy pond. Upon crossing the muddy pond, the excavator had gotten stuck and was submerged nearly to its cap. Our construction equipment towing team decided to bring out 3 heavy duty towing pieces of equipment. The first piece of heavy towing equipment was a 50-ton wrecker. The second piece of heavy towing equipment was also a 50-ton wrecker and the third piece of heavy duty towing equipment was a 35-ton wrecker. When our construction equipment towing team arrived, they gathered together and assessed the situation. They decided to have one heavy wrecker winch from the front of the excavator. A second heavy wrecker winched the rear of the excavator and the third 35-ton heavy duty towing wrecker was used to support the boom arm of the excavator. So, the construction equipment towing team gathered together winches from each of the heavy wreckers. The construction equipment towing team walked out and attached the cables. They got a little wet while attaching the cable to the front of the excavator. The construction equipment towing team then grabbed the second cable and hook and attached it to the rear of the wrecker. From there, the team grabbed the last and final cable and winch system from the 35-ton wrecker and attached it to the boom on the excavator. Slowly the 3 heavy wreckers winched the excavator up the hill. The excavator was very difficult to pull from the mud as the mud was very thick and very powerful. The construction equipment towing team finally was able to pull it up and out of the water. They continued to pull the excavator all the way up the hill and then they detached all the hooks and cables. The excavator was going to be hauled away for repairs.
